Regent Capital is an investment firm to provide both equity and debt financing for middle-market companies or projects. The capital we provide is primarily used for opportunities which are not satisfied by the straight equity investment or conventional bank lending. We invest mainly in Asia, with a particular focus on China.
Our investment strategy emphasizes on identifying industry or sector trends and themes, and then carefully assessing opportunities arising from these themes in connection with potential investments. This strategy of thesis-based investing is distinctive, in many respects, from other firms in the industry. Our team are sector experts with deep knowledge on several industries, such as real estate, utilities, infrastructure and consumer products. We mainly rely on our proprietary network to identify investment opportunities.
Regent Capital expects to be the lead investor with a significant majority of our portfolio investments, and to be in an influential position to help our portfolio companies to better understand the industrial landscape, improve the operating efficiency and manage its capital structure.
